Actually. I didn't know Blender was free and open source. Clay sculpting is hard on my hands, but what if. What if I learn how to sculpt digitally. Backup plan to become an indie art toy artist if this whole writing career falls through? 👀

I am fully aware that zinging between potential new hobby crafts like this is a sign of Stress and I'm unlikely to actually pursue any of them, yes, I know. But what if I taught myself how to sculpt dozens of tiny kaiju models.

Nah but it's more a time management problem. I have about one hour of Hand Use per day, and it has to go towards client work. So the crafting is unfortunately but a dream right now.

It is not a cheap hobby, for sure. And the number of filament materials and colors out there is overwhelming, it feels dangerous as a way to collect too many materials just like I already to with yarn 😅

One thing I was most excited about was making crochet hooks, I thought how cool to be able to make craft tools at home! It needs some finessing, maybe use a different filament, but I was happy with it as a first try. Also designed a small weaving loom that’s pretty fun.
