USA seems populated with lottery winners who want earnest deep chats with me!
They put a lot of effort into it.
A creepy grooming feel.
Scripts are much more sophisticated.
I make a point of only blocking them after a five day fishing experience.
I feel it's saving others the unwanted attention.
It is wild! Blood in the water behavior.
Dude! I’m trying to figure out how to move forward in this country that is careening into the abyss. I’m not trying to date.
I get men wanting to flirt(sorry, guys, probably old enough to be your Mum and in a different country) and editors, marketers and artists offering their services on the assumption I’m self published. As you say, 3 seconds after follow back. I unfollow immediately.
It’s an advance fee fraud scam. The “lottery winner” sends you a check but then “FedEx” calls you and says they need $300 to deliver it. Or some variation on the theme.
Thought so. Then they cancel check and u are screwed! My DJ boss once got scammed out of a Hummer! Title scam! Ebay released the $26k!
He paid $1500 transport! Cops cane and seized it 1 week later! It was stolen and Ebay released funds without title! He got his $26k back. But $1500 mistake!
Whenever I find evidence from posted screenshots, I add them. As long as the evidence aligns with the mission of the blocklist. I'm not doing anything with pornbot DMs, for example.
Sending a screenshot of recent blocks. Each message sent within 10 minutes of a s followback. Note the guy referring to me as "Cindy" - for sure he spams. Do whatever you think. Thank you Tabor.
Yeah these all look terrible. But I'm trying really hard to make sure what I add has some of trying to commit some fraud if it's not in their bio or replies. Offering money. Asking for account info. Saying you won a prize. Etc.
I often observe this behavior on LinkedIn. Some new connections wait a day or so but some are impatient and send something in a second. In the past I'd get pissed off. No more. Now they get ignored - well of course unless they send me something relevant and mutually beneficial.
I guess, as unlikely as it seems, someone might have a good reason. Like if you knew them from a former job or elementary school. It's not like many are using real life names, but if they've been following you, something may have rung a bell.
I have had 4 women contact me telling me to text them or to use what app or whatever it’s called. And a millionaire. I didn’t want to turn off my chats because I do genuinely like to chat with strangers at times. It’s crazy.
The place is sadly already infested with bots. I am seeing a lot of Illuminati, sex, and crypto bots. I don't understand why it's so hard to filter out all that garbage.

It usually look like this:
- No posts
- Weird image for avatar
- Few followers and they follow thousands
I then have to block.
I think I have it turned off. Lol
Never DM me.
But I get the reticence. Some are just... 😳
