I think a lot of people will argue with you that Corbyn is not the same as the Democrats - however he was pro-Brexit and I’m personally not a massive fan.
Yeah, Corbyn was pro brexit. Kamala was pro gun, pro military force, anti-Medicare for all, pro immigration policing. The point is that democrats didn’t give people alternatives that mattered to them, so people either didn’t vote or voted green. The electorate isn’t smart, I don’t think they’re evil
In that way, Kamala didn’t give people enough to care about. I think the voters are seeing that they were wrong already, but don’t confuse a failure of communication with a fundamentally evil voter base. An inherently self interested base? Sure. Dems didn’t take advantage of that.
Hillary Clinton (almost as weak a candidate as Kamala) did win the popular vote. Tho Things have gotten worse in terms of misogyny, but again one side is giving answers and the other side is refusing to counter message! That’s my whole point. The incorrect are loud enough to be acceptable.
Maybe that’s a difference between us, but I see part of effective politicking and governing to be educating your base. Republicans ‘educate’ well, I think abt DT with trans ppl (who weren’t relevant b4 2016). Ppl are dumb yes, but reps are taking advantage of that, not inherent evil within ppl.
Yes but winning the popular vote is not the same as being president is it? What’s the list of first world countries that haven’t had a female leader and let’s think about what company America is keeping. Because that sounds like an excuse to me.
