Yes, I’m all in and have been for decades. But the alternative media is the primarily the answer, The Nation, The New Republic, The progressive and others and now TruthOut, MeidasTouch.To me NPR is too mushy not hard hitting enough.

Yes, but PBS provides the only programming some kids who live in rural areas and less-resourced homes can access besides videos on X, etc. Studies show these high quality programs like Sesame Street, etc. help kids learn. As a teacher, it’s really scary to think of.

You’re absolutely correct, my point was directed to NPR as being so soft spoken in its delivery of news to try to not hurt anyone’s feelings. I do listen to NPR but sometimes I just change the channel because the info is so light.

We have, arguably, one of the best public radio stations streaming music out of Austin from KUTX. Time to dial up the donations I suppose.
