>inb4, yes I know not everyone can afford a reliable car. They *could* afford a Civic/Corolla but chose a Focus cause it had heated seats, sync, etc.

And they’ve been nickled & dimed with repairs way beyond what the extra cost for a more reliable car.

If it's the 2.0 duratec auto, they genuinely aren't that bad in the later model years. The engines are bulletproof and the dps6 does have issues but you'll get an easy 80-120k before needing a clutch/actuator job, more if you adjust your driving habits. Basically don't let it creep and let off

Well, the dps6 does seem to respond better to aggressive driving in my experience... But yeah if you don't treat it right it'll need repair sooner.

I'd still take it over a Dodge Dart or Chevy Cruze though lol

For shifts like you would in a manual. They're much more engaging to drive than a Corolla too tbh. The dct, when it works, is much more fun than a torque converted auto, and they handle fantastic!
