Lived in Florida since 1989. A small number of Florida citizens may have hate towards others for one reason or another. No more than citizens in other states in my opinion. So much what I call "lumpism", these days when you lump people together and generalize their behavior. My opinion. ☮️

I was raised Greek Orthodox, married an Irish Catholic.Married in a Catholic Church in Massachusetts where I grew up.Also had a blessing in the Greek Church.The Catholic Priest stomped out of the reception when he found out about the Orthodox blessing. Keep church and State separate in my opinion.☮️

He wasn’t a theologically informed Roman Catholic priest & maybe you should report him to the Bishop. Orthodox religion is seen as part of the Roman Catholic Church by the Catholic Church FFS. That’s been the case for decades!

Orthodoxy was before Catholic I think,no expert.Was taught the split came because Catholics view the Pope as above a"human", a step closer to God. Orthodoxy says only Jesus,God's son should be above"human".When I saw that Russian Orthodox priest praising Putin,reinforced my no organized R for me. ☮️

Worth pointing out that it was also exactly the same in Germany in the 1930s. And I'd assume targeted the same people. Those too 'decent' to believe the antisemitism, but willing to go along if another group they hated got hurt.
