Exit polls from the US POTUS election showed that LGBTQ ppl were the least likely group to vote for Trump. They were the least likely to be unpatriotic, ignorant & racist. Many so-called ‘Resistance’ ‘activists’ could learn a lot about LGBTQ ppl, rather than reaching for far right insults.

Why bother? It’s just noise. When there are marches on Washington with 10 million plus in them, they might frighten him into change. I believe in humour [I was an editorial cartoonist], but these extremists are so much so that humour normalises their depravity.

I think for >professional/paid< politicians & advisers, LGBTQ ppl are a transactional item. We’re not ppl entitled to human rights, we’re a political badge that they can pin on or take off as it suits them. You see that in the UK where ‘left wing’ Labour is viciously transphobic, as are the RW Torys

I’ve seen it in Ireland & the UK, too. People with ‘LGBTQ ally’ in their profiles using this kind of sneering insult. It’s a bit like how when there are US school shootings, now, the far right always >falsely< identify a trans person as the ‘shooter’ - every time.
