Josh rode 155 miles yesterday, on the first day of the Tour Divide. If he kept that up for the full cross-America ride he’d finish it in 17 days, which is his target.

The number of people that sprayed themselves from the handlebars the year I rode was pretty funny. Hope Josh doesn't do that, lol. Anyway, checked on him and he's still going at 10:00 PM local, getting ~120 miles in the first 12 hours and right in the middle of the pack. Very respectable pace!

Is he not going to deploy the One Simple Trick To Avoid Attack By Bear that I taught DaughterOnSea when she was four? It’s simple: Don’t tread on the cracks in the pavement.
