I used to be a big fan of her work when I was a teen but looking back, her descriptions of POC and there are pro colonial themes. if you search it up it I'm sure there are others who have explained it better than I have 💞

Separating the Art from the Artist is necessary in all forms of media.

A medieval setting such as ToG are absolutely going to have Pro colonial themes. Kingdoms by their very nature are Colonial.

That argument absolutely applies to a living artist and you can enjoy her works without supporting her. Used book stores exist. Hell the whole Audio Serie book series is on youtube.
