As someone from WV who has dealt w/ non-flouridated mine water and atrocious dental healthcare his entire life, I sincerely hope your MIL gets the care she needs. Dental care IS healthcare, no matter what insurance companies would have you believe. As a medicare recipient, I'm allowed 2k/yr

in dental thanks to expanded Medicare (which is likely going away soon). I only get 2-3 visits per year before that is gone. I've been waiting 6 months just for extractions that I can't afford, living in pain. It's a nightmare I don't wish on anyone.

Dental care shouldn't be a luxury.

Have y'all checked into medical tourism? Places like Mexico, or Turkey may be far more affordable. Last year my mom was quoted 4k for a set of implants in Mexico City. Currently I am saying for my own surgery so I have been looking into it
