Make sure the heat pump is set to OFF. Had that same issue when I installed my new A/C wall thingys

Most houses in TX don’t have heat pumps. It’ll mess up the cool setting on the A/C

I’m gonna take that as a victory. Heat pump is an option when you initially set it up. Under settings. But the blue wire is the better fix. From one not-handy guy to another.
