Yep. It was great (and can still be great - my kids have far better SM experiences than I do). But the business model dictated it to be thus once they figured out the algorithm worked in their favour through rage engagement.

Having said that - we watched The Social Network just last week and I told my kids about Meta and the new safety policies and how that might effect Trans kinds in particular and they both are now considering junking Instagram.

Oh thank you - too kind. I was at pains to ensure they understood it was a dramatic version of events - but they were certainly not aware of its genesis in FaceSmash, The Winklevoss’ involvement & the fall out with the CFO. Both Ms13 and Ms17 commented on how they “know guys like Mark” from school 😂
