I really like the idea of this, but it seems like it'd be a lot more usable if it had trigger buttons on the actual stick somehow (sort of like a classic Microsoft Sidewinder). That way you could actually move and fire with one hand and use the number pad with the other without having to move hands.
Definitely something I could implement. I have the parts for this. I’ve had a stick with two trigger buttons sitting on my workbench for a few months now just haven’t gotten around to it. Definitely would love to implement this for the other models that I make.
Maybe I ought to drag my "Intellivision II" back out and get a proper controller for it. Does it pretty much work for every game or is it kind of hit and miss?
TBH, if there are games that you really want to play that are unique to the system then yes - Bomb Squad for example. There are many similar games on other platforms unless you’re a hard-core collector, etc. It works with all games some have less precision because it’s 8 way instead of 16 way.
Only thing is the color of the arcade stick may change - I can’t get that filament - still trying to though - but you can have any color that is available.
