All Federal law enforcement is under the Department of Justice, directed by the Attorney General (Pam Bondi), who was appointed by 45 on February fifth.

Per the Constitution, all federal enforcement is controlled by the Executive Branch over the DoJ. Even the U.S. Marshals (since 1871).

From everything I just read, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are responsible for enforcing Title 18 of the US Code.

Both of those agencies take their orders from the Department of Justice. The Attorney General is full MAGA. So many FBI have been fired, morale must be lying in a deep ditch.
