He's such a well written character
Man spends his entire life under the fascist empire of Solaris and sees people rising up to it in a way he can never do
It gives him hope then Solaris crushes it and uses his despair to further sink their claws into him
Idk maybe if he had more than like three scenes where he was actually relevant I'd care but he's just not around enough, and then on top of that they use his betrayal/death as this big motivator for a moment with Elly when the two of them interacted like once ever before that part 😭
