I've been doing a youth partnership/mentor program for the last couple months (and it's going great!) but something that my mentee has talked about that's stuck with me is the types of online games that he plays and the sketchy people he comes across in them (primarily Roblox)

I remember always being frustrated with how strict the chat filters were in those games, but in hindsight they were probably incredibly effective at stopping-
Kids really have no business in the same online spaces as adult strangers, and the adults don't want them there either!
I guess my point is that I'm grateful to have grown up in the online age that I did, but I do mourn that future generations won't ever get to have that same experience
