I do wish there was a button on the Solas murals to recap the lore in them as I was sitting there gobsmacked watching and feel like I need to take them in again!

Yeah same! I was able to find them on YouTube, but to do it all in-game would be so nice. FFXIV has a really great example of a journal in the game you can always go to, to replay cutscenes.
