As the question of these private school tax credits/vouchers continue, it's important to remember that 1 in 6 Oklahoma children live in poverty. For a family of three, this means the child lived in a household that earned $24,500. How does this program help them? It doesn't.

From @oklahomavoice.com: To nobody’s surprise, #okleg created a program that heavily benefits folks who absolutely do not need government handouts. Over 45% of the “tax credits” awarded in spring 2025 went to households that earned more than $150,000/year.
