The "F.U.R.R.I.E.S ACT" bill from Stan Gerdes (R-Smithville) would prohibit "non-human behavior" in Texas schools, including but not limited to:
-Litterboxes
-Tails
-"Leashes, collars, other accessories designed for pets"
-"Barking, meowing, hissing, or other animal noises"

I have never, NEVER, seen any kid come to school with a dog collar/leash. If you made an animal noise, you were either the bully or bullied. If you brought a litterbox, you eating it for lunch. WHO IS THIS FOR!?

But spending any time (meaning money) writing up legislation for things that DO NOT EVEN HAPPEN is just so fucked up. Yet the authors would probably be the first to complain about government over spending.
