The same people who held back when discussing Biden's declining condition are the same people in charge of both the Congressional response to Trumpism and the 2026 midterms. We're past the point of being able to tolerate screw ups on either front. If we need new blood, we need to get started now.

I think these questions are actually one and the same as it speaks to the judgement of those holding elite positions within the Democratic Party. Why did it take him collapsing on the debate stage for them to finally push him aside and could we have won in 2024 if there were an earlier open primary?

I have the feeling there is a different quality:

One is "Biden was ineffectual/weak", and Dems were "shielding" him (out of loyalty, or whatever).

The others "there's a *real* ongoing crisis", and why are Dems too timid to put their necks on the line (cause, you know - there's real threat of harm)

Because they want to maintain this rigged system and continue to cash in on their “good oligarchy”. They knew Joe Biden would keep the party right of center for decades to come and squash any hopes of the party moving left. They wanted to make a statement to the leftists in their party.

Perhaps, right now, its more salient to ask why they're *still* mucking about instead of going all out stalling / blocking / obstructing the Administration / regime.

Like, even fucking Impeachment is off the table atm. I think any Biden questions can quite safely be ignored for now, tbh...
