For SSI, not SS. SS is disbursed according to birthday starting the second Wednesday of every month. If your birth date is the 1st-10th your check comes the 1st Wednesday.
From what I understand, folks w disability get theirs at the beginning of the month - my s/o gets his every month on the 3rd, but earlier of course if the 3rd falls on a weekend or holiday. Mine, OTOH, is regular social security, and it drops the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Does that track?
Thanks for info. I wont b getting SS for decades. Congress passed in Dec USAF can get SS& pension but now I believe both will b eliminated in my time. I just always thought all govt benefits get at top of the month
I wonder if they rushed them due to incoming weather? DC shuts down in the snow. We ran our pay certification early because of that. The checks will still drop on time, but anything involving people is done.
Same. I do see that my bank is actually crediting it to my account two days early because they “see it coming down the pike”. Of course that’s not the exact words they used but hey, I’ll take it early!🤷♀️😂
Dreading what may be done to Medicare, too. My PCP's office has called me to schedule the annual Wellness exam but I'm in no hurry to do so as I'm in no position to pay for that out of pocket.
I agree that we should be covered this month. A friend lost her job a few weeks ago (smelled it coming) and put in for early SS at 62 - her first payment is due next week and she is worried that she'll be left high and dry. Anything for Feb or later may be up to the courts.
If you guys are retired, are you going to protests? Are you writing your reps, your media, whatever you can do? This is a coup. It has to be stopped before it’s too late.
Mine came right on schedule. It's supposed to be there this coming Wednesday, but the bank actually shows it as available for withdrawal the preceding Saturday.

My son in law gets his on the 3rd of the month. It arrived on time.
Leave the Fed direct deposit, and move the funds as soon as it hits.
