I want people to be enthralled and and still thinking about my words long after they've finished reading. I often think about the emotional journey I want my audience to take.

Ooohh...Well. I started writing werewolves (circa 2005) as a way to write through my trauma by sending a werewolf to defeat my PTSD nightmares...
My world has since evolved but I hope my readers will get a sense of recovery, resilience, and recognize their healing journey through my prose.

I hope readers get some kind of comfort out of my work. My novellas are no conflict and all vibes. They’re cozy.

My novels are much darker but even when things are shitty there’s still love, friendship, nature, community. I hope that brings readers comfort

I hope they feel loved, and validated. I had a beta reader tell me I had created a safe and loving world for queer and ND people, even though the story itself was not a happy one (the characters were literally fighting for their lives). That made me so happy.
