This legal challenge is doomed. Nobody has ever overturned a tax in the UK courts or ECHR using on human rights arguments. Not once.

I genuinely wonder who, apart from Barrett perhaps, would take this on. I'm a minor minion in VAT from a tax perspective, and there is no way its winnable. I mean, what's the argument? 'We're wealthy and this infringing out human rights to be wealthy' jfc 🤷‍♂️

That state education can't afford effective SEN is EXACTLY why we must tax private, to pay for education of all. No doubt some will have to move their child & do feel for those children but I don't hear outcry when those moved miles for social housing face the same in more challenging circumstances.

State education could afford effective SEN education if it stopped trying to standardise the education system and trained mainstream teachers in SEN.
