and simultaneously, Live, a vampire girl, has a (prophetic?) wet dream about sucking Masaki’s blood. When they happen to meet, Masaki eventually promises Live can literally suck her dry if and when Masaki can get her new channel to 1 million subs, with Live and her vampire roommates’ help

oh and Masaki is voiced by IKUMI HASEGAWA and Live is FAIROUZ AI so like holy hell right from the start the cast features like my two all time favourite VAs apparently?? And the artstyle is super cute and expressive and goofy and Masaki is like if you squished Kikuri Hiroi and Jill Stingray together

and the show seems to mainly be about like just celebrating the fun and challenge of the creation of art, with the (yuriful) girls specifically trying to follow and appeal to YouTube trends, and like, if you know me, almost all my favourite anime are about celebrating the creative process

and then the fourth episode completely rocked me and left me in tears like I had no idea the show would actually get into the genuine tragedy of immortality and a vampire’s weakness to sunlight. Kinda Frieren-esque but the subject matter emotionally resonated with me far more than Frieren even did
