I just had a look through your posting history. I agree with pretty well everything. But why use "Makhno"? I think you'd agree that resistance should never resort to atrocities. Didn't Makhno's anarchists make a habit of cutting off the heads of defenseless landowners and their families?
Makhno is an example of UA's long fight for freedom from outside domination.

It's important to remember that Makhno didn't lead a professional army. More of a rag-tag group of Ukrainian peasants. Makhno also lived his anarchist beliefs, which led to even more lack of control while he was at the battlefront.
