This makes no sense!!!

It’s no longer safe for Australians to go to America. This is insane. We ALL have American friends. Mine are like family. Dear god.

I live in a border town. We're getting messaging saying, "America isn't safe," while I'm looking at Michigan. I can see it from my house.

I live in a place colloquially known as "the twin soos" one city is on the Canadian side, one on the American side with a river between us...

...and our colloquial phrasing for "I'm going to America/Michigan for the day" is "I'm going across the ditch." So many of us have our veterinarians on the US side. People from the US side come over berry picking, camping, hunting, skiing, and *loads* of them own camps and summer homes here...

...and American license plates are nearly as common as Ontario plates.

A place that has been an extension of my hometown my entire life is no longer safe. A place I can see from my house is now an enemy state embroiled in fascism.
