I think putin knowing that the world will not put up with him threatening an independent nation's sovereignty is enough of a reward in itself. I don't know if you know the meaning of support.

The United States right now IS putting up with Putin threatening and invading a sovereign state. If you are relying on Europe to stand up to Putin you are asking for WW3. I do support Ukraine and want them to have a sovereign country for years to come WITH the protection of the US.
Putin will NEVER STOP invading Ukraine and other countries as long as the world lets him, and that’s exactly what’s happening and has been happening since the Cold War. It will never stop.
He will run out of bodies to fight, weapons, and ammunition. That is unless Mark starts to fund their mission along with Trump, Tulsa, Elon, Kim Jung, and every other oligarch dictatorship that feels froggy and wants to jump into the frey.
Which is why the EU has a different view. The EU has given more help to Ukraine than the US and will continue.
Trump, Vance and company even have the audacity to want to reshape European politics to their dystopian nightmare.
