Hi there, I manage my own moderation list and was using yours(aimod's) for reference. I found a large number of people who were possibly added by accident. I've put them into these images for quick reference but if workable links are required, I could DM them to someone on the team.

I assume the Bleakcat image? I can hop on DMs if you like, since it's a sticky situation and I don't want to put anyone on blast. Though in that case I can say with pretty strong confidence that some sort of AI had a hand in his works going back about at least 3 months.

For the same reason I don't want to put anyone on blast, especially in the instance that they may not be using it ( and perhaps their work is being used for datasets)

There are a number of indications. For instance, there are areas where it would not make sense for an artist to make those kind of marks, and the colors blur in a way inconsistent with the graphic/gradient style of the image. There is also a "haloing" effect around the black, common to AI images.

The label has already been removed! And, to clarify, it never said the user was an AI or bot, only that his avatar or banner was an AI image. Our label looks like this, and it clearly refers to the profile picture, not the person.

This labeler is completely voluntary! No one has to sign up for it and it isn't associated with Bluesky in any official capacity. It is just very popular. A lot of people appreciate knowing what is and isn't AI. We take it very seriously and try hard to be careful in our labeling.

i was added to the list because of hashtags when i imported old tweets (a mistake in retrospect). i deleted posts with AI hashtags before i realized i could have sent a report. i am not normally a poster of AI art and would love to be removed from the list. these were from early days.

Oh dear, this is a complicated one. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I looked over their FA and can indeed see they are a skilled artist - but there is also a shift around three months ago and, though I hate to say it, I think they started doing AI paint-overs.

You can see a substantial shift in how they look starting at that point - though of course artists can improve over time! - and that is also when they start hitting 99-100 percent on multiple AI detection services, and in a consistent way. It's not just one or two images, it's all of them.

Absolutely! This actually caused a huge discussion in the team since we don't like labeling artists and are careful not to make mistakes. I can say with some certainty that these images are most likely the product of them taking line-art and having AI color it, with final touch ups added by hand.

Areas where the artist had to touch up the AI are of notedly different line quality and coloration treatment. It's possible, but unlikely, they got that lazy with the hands compared to less important parts of the image. Earlier works match the hand more

I'll work on getting you off The List ASAP! In the future maybe come up with a tag that won't trigger our system? I am not sure if there is a whitelist option. Most of what our auto-grabber picks up is pretty on the nose (AI, AIgenerated, etc) so something like #AIScam or #NoAI wouldn't get noted.

Why do you have accounts with real photography on that list. Some have as few as 4 posts to their name and camera documentation in their images. We've gone through several iterations of making that work right and if it's not we need to know about it!

If you see any by all means report them with the text that your are requesting an appeal! In cases where real photos get flagged it's *usually* either due to other images on the account (showing the badge occasional AI poster) or a single image out of a group of otherwise photos (marked AI imagery)

We're only human and we definitely do make mistakes (I certainly have) but I promise we review every single report with our own eyes - we don't use any sort of automation other than tagging posts that specifically self declare as AI using certain hashtags.

First subscribe to the AI moderation list if you haven't already. You then click the three dots on a post (other than your own) and then click report post. Select the appropriate mod option (We're the AI one), click the reason for reporting, and add some details to help the mods out.
