Announcing your withdrawal from UN bodies while continuing to draft resolutions, this BPD ass administration

Seems the Trump admin wants Ukraine to withdraw an annual resolution condemning the Russian invasion altogether so that the US can introduce its own whitewashing version. Giving Ukraine the treatment you'd expect Washington to give the PLO.

the US is funny because in this case it actually explicitly tries to make the case that the UN has a pivotal role in helping end the Russia-Ukraine war while with regards to I/P the US official position across all administration is that the UN has essentially no meaningful role whatsoever

Indicates to me that in this case the US wants to collaborate with Russia among the P5 to shape the terms without much of Ukraine's involvement at all. A classic.

Certainly possible too, they do this with in the past with certain resos or proposals vis a vis the Palestinians. A classic tactic that also goes back to how the US and others would actually blame Bosnians prior to the intervention. Typically it's the "weaker side" that gets called intransigent
