I don’t buy the “look how far we’ve come” thing at all. We lost to a team even further back on their journey than us that cost much less than ours with a manager with less experience. We have almost no injuries and we were in form until a week ago.

We were simply dreadful once again against Palace.

This nails it for me. There seems to be plenty of people, including some of the players and even Emery, trying to invalidate the anger and disappointment. But to use that argument is to excuse the level of performance all round. Emery king and all that, but I wish he’d owned the loss differently.

I’m not sure it’s meant like invalidating, even though it feels that way, they just have to react differently to us, we can wallow but they have to always find positives because they have to regroup fast. I, however am fucking miserable today 😝

I also woke up this morning very down. I had a flashback to Ron Saunders’ 13 man squad that won the league and his mantra of 110% effort. That effort got us out of many scrapes. In the Premier League that is required unless you are ultra elite like the old Man City or now Liverpool.

Yeah. The "look how far we've come" rubbish is wearing pretty thin tbh. This walking football nonsense is embarrassing. What's the point of killing a game for half an hour when you then give goals away with silly mistakes again and again.

In a word we were 'tepid' yesterday.

Palace have had our number for a few games now.

We've had a few of these games under Emery... but we've had so many more great results its hard to be too critical.

Hope Palace go on to win it.
