Exactly this, the issue is just that some people that are used to bigger numbers either refuse to move over in fear of “starting over” or they do swap over and get upset not their entire following moved over yet…

So a lot of the people that would pull people in are just being too stubborn…

The worst thing Twitter ever did was make the follower count akin to a social credit score. Nobody REMOTELY asked for that, since the emphasis of rage bait was akin to a soft porn ban (this could mean ANYTHING due to how vague this can be. the definition of porn could mean ANYTHING!)

I think people followed a lot of people that didn't end up committing to BlueSky so they maybe posted once or a few times and then stopped.

I followed a lot of people who left shitter before it got to it's worst so my feed is relatively full but maybe not as active as peak Twitter

People can’t go a single day without some sort of dramatic event or fight taking place. It’s just so strange how some people seemingly hate living in peace. It’s bizarre and I’m frankly glad it’s as of yet not terribly present here

I really like it here a lot more too, just feels way better, but there are a few artists I really like that have started here, but just haven't posted anything for months now. That's one thing I feel a bit down about. But the overall experience here is much better.

I made a comment yesterday and when I got a notification I low-key had an anxiety attack because I'm so used to Twitter where any reply is basically just someone harassing you, but then I was happy when I looked and it was just someone happily agreeing. It's so nice here.

I think people are mad because 1, they dont have a following and 2, bsky isn't twitter where you see something new every second.
This place thats filled with great people and conversations. Ive been here for 4 months now and I have only ever had to block 2 people vs the 10+ I block on Twitter daily.

I only see people saying it on Twitter and all the ones so far who I don’t really see as a huge loss not being here.

Like you I am just finding so much art, creativity and so much more kindness than on other social media. If that’s ‘boring’ then more of that please!
