The heavier the vehicle, the faster they are going to wear through their tires. The switch from ICE to EV is going to make the microplastics problem even worse.
No, the switch from normal sized cars to ridiculous truck-sized monsters is the biggest issue by an absolute mile right now. EVs in general are much smaller and lighter than those RAM truck monstrosities.
Did you think I was arguing in favour of EV trucks?
The base 2024 F150 lightning is around 800kg heavier than its combustion counterpart, and there's a whole lot more of those on the road than there are cyber trucks.
F150 lightning is a bit heavier than the fuel model by about 15-20%. But they’re both ridiculously heavy. Neither are good. But I guess at least the EV model doesn’t spew toxic fumes around your family.
Because it's economics 101 ... When considering how to move forward, a sunk cost is in the in past so there's nothing you can do about it. Just do the best thing you can from this point forward. To do otherwise would be throwing good money after bad 🤔
And the weight of the vehicles. Huge heavy pickups and SUVs, especially electric ones, have higher emissions than smaller lighter vehicles. Governments need to regulate vehicle sizes better.

That's the heaviest F150 and the lightest cybertruck.

EVs are dumb, EV trucks and SUVs even moreso.
Earthships construction.
