That's just another excuse used here, bottom line is the majority are just not willing to stay truly educated on what Government has been doing, treat political parties like sports teams and believe conspiracy theories over facts. We have a minority of fighters, but not enough.
In their defense, they have been trained to do that by 40 years of the parties acting like sports teams and the media treating it that way. With a few exceptions, we've also not seen any material improvement for Americans over the past 40 years so most people don't recall when voting mattered.
It's a lot of things. We've been fed a lot of comforts while being robbed and suffocated. It's no coincidence that there were so many active protests during the pandemic, and they withered away as restrictions were lifted. But keep up the good fight, Rebecca. Remind the people around you.
Voted since 18, 53 now. Was part of a Governor Recall, multiple street protests, Multiple town halls, buy from small business, donate to multiple pro democracy entities, pay attention to who votes for what bills. That enough tor you? You just don't like the mirror I hold up that you see yourself in.
I'm not American, but once Presidential decrees have hollowed out the institutions that make the US a great place to live, I'm sure you will collectively pick up the torches and pitchforks needed to restore your democracy.
But like imagine, if NO ONE paid a fucking cent to these "Health Insurance Companies" for a week, or even month. The entire system would come crashing down. This country is like a line of dominoes. One falls... the others follow shortly after.
