I'm sorry, but if lack of readers and eyes on your published work makes you feel like writing is an expensive waste of time...maybe you shouldn't be a writer?

Don't get me wrong, it *is* difficult, and can be discouraging, but writers need to be tenacious and persistent. And actually enjoy writing.
