Has anyone with any knowledge #IRS looked at the letter Pete Hegseth posted? Does it look odd to anyone else? Might be me just overthinking, again, but mine always say “dear taxpayer”, with my actual name at the top. Just me?

It appears to be a VERY ROUTINE letter called a CP2000, which is automatically generated by the AUR (Automated Underreporter) system. A CP2000 letter is sent when the information on payments from 3rd parties (W-2, 1099s, etc.) doesn't match what the taxpayer reported.
