Hilariously, in an interview this evening, Trump said he was appointing Grenell because he “has some experience in that world”. Given that Grenell professional experience seems to all be at the State Dept., Fox News, DNI & being an Ambassador to Germany and no professional theatre experience…
…I’m pretty sure that “Rick has some experience in that world” was Trump saying “I put him in charge of musical theatre because he’s the highest-ranking homosexual I have”
I may have to sidle up to my friend's friend, who is a KenCen docent. Some of those people have been there since it opened 50 years ago. They still hold grudges about the gift shop being contracted out. You know they're gonna have some tea.
Mark, I'm not an expert on this, but do you or anyone else know if performers or theatrical productions can refuse to stage their shows at the Kennedy Center, unless contacts are already signed? I can't imagine many artists would willingly perform under their auspices.

Last time, Trump appointed Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon, to be secretary of Housing and Urban Development, presumably because he’s a racist who thinks “urban” means “Black”. This is…entirely consistent with how he does things.
