There's no theatrical for adult action (!) anymore. MI8 and this prove it. Unless you have a horror angle its kids/teens/comics only rn.

I would say there can be a market for theatrical but the budgets have to be reasonable like Statham’s films are modestly budgeted. Ballerina cost 90 million, which is way too much.

While thats a good point, Statham films barely get a theatrical window these days. You can't justify the P&A cost.
There's definitely theatrical value weakness in the genre; it does very well in PPV/streaming.
