Incoming tariffs for the US and production of most 40 being stopped already is adding some uncertainty to the situation, especially for midrange buyers.

Can't afford a GPU on top of my 98003D anyway. Although the GPU is now maxed out. But that's a problem for another year, whenever games start to feel slow again.
I wonder if this is one of the reasons behind the tariffs? This is pure conspiracy and speculation, but many companies are probably benefiting from Americans panic buying a lot of stuff out of fear of price increases.
Maybe Trump is uninformed, but there is a club of billionaires who have shared interests and influence over him. Maybe they have a plan to extract even more wealth out of the bottom 99% of Americans. Again, this is just conspiratorial thinking, and I have no evidence to back this up.
got my GRE in March, been... i won't say happily running, more like screaming at UE5 jank / crap performance 🤣 but i'm in the lucky spot of not needing a GPU uplift, and i don't even know if a theoretical 8800XT will equal the GRE, at least in raster

But actually, I'm not in the US, so I'm not to worried about the last one, just the regular ol' baseline arm-and-a-leg prices.
good video for recommended sweet spot deals tho
