I printed the full figures of Igris and Jin Woo Sung from Solo Leveling recently. It's currently in a box waiting for craft night with the girlfriend so we can do painting and stuff together.

Oh sick! A buddy and I were looking at that exact model a few days ago. Did you print it all as white or grey? How were the supports?

All black since it saves me the darkwash step and the supports left scarring so I highly recommend using an interface material. If you're printing in PLA, print the interface on the supports PETG for example. I did find some success heating the supports with a lighter to make them more "gummy" too.

There some some settings you can change with your tree supports as well to make them less likely to scar. I had a video saved on them somewhere I'll have to find and post.

There is also the dissolvable support material you could use as interface layers as well

yeah, there are changes that reduce scarring but the only thing I know that eliminates it completely is an interface material. I was actually surprised that heating with a lighter to make the supports gummy worked so well and it didn't always so I'm betting there is a "sweet spot" with the heat

Maybe I'll give that a try when I have some particularly annoying supports. Most I do is just take a lighter to it quickly to get some stringing off.

Maybe a hair dryer would give a good sweet spot to help disengage annoying interface layers

Been on a kick of printing random surprises for friends. Delivered a Fuecoco and Ahsoka's lightsabers to friends yeaterday. The Ace of Spades from Destiny is on the printer right now.

Aside from the lightsaber stand, it is all Bambu (the stand is Cookiecad Dark Magic)

The lightsabers and the WIP Ace of Spades are being done with the 0.2mm nozzle so they are taking a MUCH longer time but a much cleaner finish

I also made some mods to the Ace for some magnets in the cylinder

I've been sticking to overture PLA for 99% of my prints. I have a amolen black/red silk that I like as well but it needs dried.

I haven't printed with a .02 yet but I did buy my wife one for her A1 mini.

What software are you using for your edits?

BambuStudio actually. It is really hanky but I have learned a lot of little tricks and such.

Like I used Inkscape and BambuStudio to make these customizations to some necktie winders for a friend
