The gulf was named Gulf of Mexico in the 16th century. Conservatives should be all about keeping it. But in today’s attention-seeking era, stupid stuff like this exists.
Irrelevant because the gulf was not named after either country - the usage of the name predates both the United States of America and the United Mexican States
Gulf of Mexico sounds like a cool place to go to have fun whereas the Gulf of America sounds like a hateful place to go to get shot or screamed at by racial deluded Magas.

The gulf of whatever.
The Gulf of Mexico.
OK?
Denali stood, so proud, so tall,
Yet high tech bent to Trump’s loud call.
The Gulf, the peak, both lost their name,
To fuel a fragile ego’s flame.
I am going with the original people of the area who named it upwards of 10,000 years ago.
My favorite is the Choctaw* word:
Chakihchaha (meaning “great water” or “big sea”). *Of current day Mississippi, Alabama & La.
(Pronounced Cha-kee-cha-ha)
