Not everyone wants to be powerful. Ciri was born powerful.

All she ever wanted was to not be powerful because that's all anyone cared about her for. Except the Witchers.

no worries at all! witchers are incredibly powerful, but ciri is a child of the elder blood which gives her extraordinary magical potential, so it's by far more raw and powerful than witcher mutations. and it seems that ciri's powers have been "dampened", so to speak, when she became a witcher! :)

so when people talk about ciri "getting nerfed" it's because it seems like some of the elder blood potential has been hindered! i don't doubt we'll see her elder blood powers kick in during the actual game (represented through skill trees and levelling up) however at the moment they're weaker!

Having only played Witcher 3 and read one of the books, isn't there a father-daughter dynamic going on between them and perhaps Ciri wants to go into Dad's line of work to honor him and the others who adopted and saved her life? Happy to be wrong on this.

Oh yeah I didn't think about it but so much of the trouble she's been through has been people trying to get her to have their powerful babies, and now she's free of that forever, so another huge win.

I honestly don't understand how someone can read those books and come away with the impression that she is anything other than the main character. She's literally the focal point of the entire series. The audience is just watching her story through Geralt's eyes.

Admittedly we are talking about a demographic that frequently quotes that 'lesser evil' speech from the first book without understanding that the story it's in is literally a repudiation of that philosophy, so I'm not sure they grasped a lot past 'sword fights, sexy ladies.'
