• Schedule regular cleaning of freezer filters to improve efficiency.
Maintenance staff set a fixed temperature for the entire building, but you can still help optimize ventilation:
• Turn off the air system when it’s not needed.
• Set ventilation to the lowest mode (three levels available) when in use.
• Use Google for quick searches (e.g., weather) instead of ChatGPT, which consumes more energy.
• Empty your inbox and delete unnecessary files from the cloud.
• Reduce email traffic—consider adding this to your email signature: “Be mindful of energy-consuming internet traffic. Avoid unnecessary emails, reply-to-all, and attachments. Use links instead.”
Before leaving the lab, please ensure:
• Ventilation is turned off.
• Lights are switched off.
• All equipment is properly shut down.
