im still on twitter but im glad to see more and more people realize its become akin to the “worst” parts of the internet. to get angry at posts there is like being angry about a 4chan post. the difference, indeed, is the legitimacy created by users who are brands, politicians, media, educators etc

i am of course a lil bit conflicted about leaving X (not bc of my followers but bc the job is to reach people and i think filter bubbles can have real effects too) but i think what Musk has done changes the calculus and i laid that case out here

The real moment is when brands realize that as well.
There’s no real chance at growth or actual conversation on there now. It’s all about engagement farming through memes, dunks, hate, and bots.
It’s an honest to god tragedy.
