I remember persona 5 having some weird lines about hard work and handouts or something part way through and it was so out of place and weird from the rest of the narrative it really threw me off lol. Good to be able to just go in expecting that sorta stuff from the team

I think unlike p5, the game pushes the idea that 'well, this isn't THE only way, and it might not be best, but this is what I believe in and causes least harm' - I don't think it sandbags itself as much as persona typically does.

But I'm curious to know if that's not the takeaway others get?

The actual party members seem like they definitely lean more left than anything else, but at the end of the day all they've ever known is being ruled by a king and deciding to protect that status quo is their downfall. Though they definitely want a more progressive king, whatever that means.
