what “fun” did the knights of ren offer?

All the people that complain about the new trilogy stuff don't realize it is just the same as the old, they are just old and grumpy and hate fun so much they don't recognize it

The Knights of Ren could've been completely justified if they did anything similar
TroS is one of only 3 movies I have with the lowest rating on letterboxd. It is one of the worst movies I saw and the only SW movie I only have seen once (watched all others at least 4 times).
It is BAD.
Or how they introduced a new planet, that happened to be the most important Sith planet, capable of cloning Palpatine, w/ a million Death Stars & Star Destroyers, & only accessible via 2 MacGuffins?
TROS was a storytelling abomination
Emblematic of the whole sequel trilogy. Aesthetics and spectacle over any cohesion or commitment to tell an overarching story.
Knights of Ren: Man what the fuck does Ren even mean, we know that's your name but Knights of Ren sounds dumb as hell we're outta here.
Rise of Skywalker is not Dumb but fun, its just dumb and confusing and a waste.
I dunno man I got nothin. Dunno what this guy is on, like, yeah the old trilogy also had cool looking guys who did nothing but the knights somehow even felt less than nothing. At least Boba Fett died in a really funny way.
Its great. Han's arc would feel more forced without that.
Granted it's more "so bad it's funny" but that's about as close as I got to joy out of that movie.
("Rise" is Star Wars at its most dogshit, but still)
Knights were VERY tryhard - everything about the sequels was marketed that way. (Though I don't recall that as *much* with Last Jedi?)
The KoR did not do any of that. A cool design is only a PART of these characters. If it is all they have, of course they fall flat.
