It's one of those where companies need better reporting tools and auto mod tools since there's just too much content to be reviewed by people at the end of the day.
It’s more like, OS vendors need to prioritize giving parents the tools they need to be better parents, such as the ability to define a device as a child’s device, observe the devices screen, and so on.
But of course OS vendors are too busy turning their devices into ad machines…
Even if you gave better tools built into the os most parents won't use them that's the issue and the ones that would already go out there way to download software that does. If a parent isn't tech savvy they just won't use such tools at the end of the day.
Ummm no. They don’t. I have a daughter. I use parental stuff on her phone when she’s with me. It’s annoying. But her mother is lazy. She simply prevents her from having a phone entirely. Even after she lost her in a store once. My response. “If she had a phone, she’d never be lost”. Ppl are lazy.
But I have met people through a dog group and visited them in Europe, made friends that way. It's handy for our Landcare group too. But I agree with you too.

Not ad and marketing executives at billion dollar corporations.

Of course people use features that get built in to their devices. This is like saying “people won’t use email if it’s included on a phone”…
Give parents the ability to monitor their kids activities and they’ll use it.
It only takes a few cases making the news and lazy parents will catch up.
But you seem to want corporate overlords, not parents and families empowered by better tools…
