The arrangement on the Kadett looks a little awkward. Makes you wonder why they did that. I doubt that the Chevette numberplate position would be illegal in Germany, but I could be wrong.
Probably to fit in with the rest of the range. The City wasn’t originally planned afaik, but was made out of the Vauxhall Chevette to compete with supermini’s like the Fiesta. The Corsa was still years ahead.
