I once had someone insist I was trying to steal from them by explaining they needed to enter a password to set up the user account on their brand new laptop. It took a looooong time just to figure out wtf he actually thought was the problem. If you've ever heard the Monty Python bookshop sketch, it was very similar in vibe, & surrealism.
