🧶Knitting for old people
I've been knitting for decades (DianeInChicoCA on Ravelry), and I've gotten to the stage where eyesight and hand tremors interfere with my favorite hobby. Here are the things I do to cope. What do you do?

I've been knitting for decades (DianeInChicoCA on Ravelry), and I've gotten to the stage where eyesight and hand tremors interfere with my favorite hobby. Here are the things I do to cope. What do you do?

2) Have an Ott Light to see small stitches, as well as a magnifying glass.
3) Find a time of day when our hands are strongest and least shakey. For me, it's afternoon.

4) Keep good notes as you go if you have to make the second in a pair (Ravelry and KnitCompanion are my goto tools for this).
5) Knit with yarn that feels good. Life is getting too short to knit with yarn you don't like!

2. I use a light and magnifying lenses than fit on my head
3. I alternate projects so I’m not using the same tension or hook or needle size for too long.
1) take breaks from fine guage projects
2) be more attentive to ergonomics & keeping hands warm
3) gently stretch/massage hands/arms before/after knitting
