You know how people are worried about foreign investors buying up US farmland?
There's a company that helps them do that! It's like Uber for buying US farmland.
And who's one of its key investors, profiting off of every sale?
J.D. Vance.

It says here that Vance stepped back from running Narya Capital. But there's no sign that he's sold his stake or handed over control of his ownership.

I can't roll my eyes hard enough.
It's impossible to say. As a privately-held company, it doesn't have to disclose much.
I will say, that makes it a great vehicle for people who want to buy US farmland & stay under the radar.
But it IS happening. And it does raise some security questions.
And now, a guy who personally profits off it is running for Vice President.
Here's why I'm running for North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture:

As I recall, people tried that before and only the overlords gave it a favorable review. I'm sure the prospective overlords will be happy to explain why it would be different this time around. I'm sure I will have questions about their explanations.

what is your source on his investment?
Which fell flat - because why use fancy radar to predict towns that are going to get slammed when you could just roll in after they are wrecked no radar necessary.

Is this something we should actually care about? Isn’t the actual problem where the financial incentives are, not the “foreign” bit?
However, the problem is still real. It is now much realer.
Is it currently owned by US corps, and there could be some change with foreign ownership?
Is it currently mom&pop, we’re moving to corp ownership, and some is foreign? What’s the foreign problem?

It's a messy problem.
but i totally get it, i wouldnt start a thread with “so you know how people are worried about pizzagate?”
I can’t even begin to imagine how that would destroy his narcissistic mind.
...then I remember that they'll have autonomous weapons platforms around then.
